Starbucks Pony Espresso: Riding My Horse, Newt, Thru the Drive Thru

19 Feb

In Norco, California we found horse trails that lead us right up to the drive thru! Norco is considered ‘Horse Town USA’ and horses are given a wide range of privileges that other cities may not allow. Many of the shops have pens, like the one shown in the video, to tie your horse…but we opted for the ‘ride-thru’ instead.

Brings back so many memories of when I was a teen and rode around our town – Newbury Park, CA with our horses and often went to McDonald’s. I always bought my horse an applepie. Lol

Stacy, I cant tell you just how good it looks to see you on horseback in jeans and a “T” when I am sitting here in VA with 8″ of snow on the ground and -1 degree temp. My bones ache for warmer weather. Gee i wonder just how long it would take me to get to CA if i saddled up right now. You go Gal!!!

Hi, Stacy! The Norco Chamber of Commerce should be contacting you shortly as their spokesperson – you are making the town look so inviting. And what’s more, I really enjoy that these are casual videos (comments and all) – makes them feel like family home movies instead of slick promos. And yes, it’s registering high on the jealous scale!

    So jealous …

But really, Newt is gorgeous and I’ve found another item for my bucket list … visit Norco.

How do they manage the horse manure? All the trails and pens are clean, do they have shovels and buckets parked everywhere? Who empties them? Do you buy a pass for the horse trails that covers the maintenance cost?

Looks like a great time!!! It looks like maybe you have Easyboots or something similar on Newt’s front feet? Is the pavement a problem for their feet?

Reblogged this on Double "K" Natural Horsemanship and commented:
A nice hot cup of coffee would be nice right now. Just finished snowing in VA. about 14″ of snow on ground now and 23 degrees.
