Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to ride horses in the rain…

28 Sep

I’m not much of a dancer…at least not yet. But this quote really isn’t about dancing now is it?dance in the rain

Dancing just happens to be one of those things in life that people just don’t do without joy…at least not well or for long. And dancing puts a romantic image in our mind of someone who is so lost in what they are doing that they can even dance through the storm.

But I’m not a dancer.

So I suggest replacing the word ‘dance’ with ‘ride’.

Really, this makes the whole quote just work better for me.

Yep, a new twist on an old saying.

What word would you put in there?

It started raining and Popcorn and I kept on riding!

I would say “find beauty”… as I’m growing up, I’m realizing that a circumstance is only as bad as you make it. You could mope around and cry about the storm, or you could realize it’s marvelous! Especially here in California… we need some rain. 😉

I will have to agree with you Stacy and say “ride” in the rain. Lightning does not bother me, storms to me are beautiful, cleansing and representative of hope and growth. I love the smell of rain.

Great twist on that quote…I’ve ridden in the rain on several occasions, got stuck on trail rides during storms… lol
P.S. I would love to see some videos of you and Popcorn doing your mounted shooting! Will you be showing him in that at the Congress next month? If so, I’d love to watch, as I’ll prolly be there!

Stacy … any idea why Facebook is not give me alerts for your posts? If I go to your page I see your posts and I see from my email. But not from the little widget at the top of my app; I get all sorts but no longer do I get yours.

Someone told me that Facebook had made a change and with some ‘pages’ you have to go in and somewhere near the ‘like’ button also make sure ‘follow’…but I don’t know. I have some pages I follow and I notice that I need to interact with the page to keep it popping up. Facebook keeps changing things so who knows what next month will be, lol.

Will you be doing any appearances while you are in Maine? I enjoyed seeing you about three years ago at Hemphill’s.
