Exercising Jac and the minis at the same time…

26 Jan

It is cold out! The mini horses needed time in the arena to run around….I needed to ride Jac…this seemed like the perfect solution!

If making a video while lunging wasn’t hard enough…I tried to video also while riding.

You need a GoPro and a chest strap so you can be hands free and still film.

Okay. Given your love for minis, I think you should look at Little Brook Farm’s FB page to see their 46 year old (!) mini playing in the snow. (sorry I’ve had trouble sending the actual link to the video)

Is this your arena? I had the impression you all were on the road now. I’m enjoying reading your blogs.

I would hug you for posting this…but then again I have! That was in MI at the horse expo in 2009. I multi-task with my horses too. Ponying one while riding out on another, free lunging, “herding”, me doing bike intervals while free lunging.

Love your minis! They remind me of my 13 year old silver dapple mini who greets me by running all over the paddock, bucking and snorting. (Lisa Halbert is my daughter; my mini visits Lisa’s full sized horses frequently for supervised play. The mini has a “big horse attitude”:-)

Maybe he thinks they are cows.

If those minis are anything like mine, they consider themselves “big horses”… mini thinks Lisa’s Percheron gelding is her boyfriend! We allow them to nuzzle and visit on opposite sides of the fence since she is so small that a flick of his hoof could damage her beyond repair. Still, she behaves like a mare–squealing and prancing enough to acquire the name “Squeals like pig”. Her real name is Twidget.

Hi Stacy, I greatly enjoy your posts and find them very helpful. However, I was THRILLED!!!!! when I saw your link to Joseph Prince.  I am 76 yrs old, devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ for over 40 yrs but never fully understood or appreciated the power of the Gospel Of Grace until I heard Joseph Prince present it.  It has transformed my life! I pray many of your fans will also find it a powerful blessing in their life.  Warmest personal regards, Russ Hosier   at Kala’s Meadow – Cool, Ca.
