Day 6: A Horse Story….2013 Quarter Horse Congress-from a horse’s view

10 Oct

Dear Mom,Louie meets Jac

A new guy moved in today. His name is Jac.

It is sooooo embarrassing! You can totally tell that it is his first time at a horse show. He is all excited and annoying at the same time. I’m glad I wasn’t that immature at my first show….

Someone had to put him in his place.

After that I decided that I should be his teacher. Can you believe he doesn’t know how to play ‘can-I-bite-your-lips-while-you-try-to-bite-my-tongue’!!!

I will do my best to teach him. I feel it is my duty as his Uncle.

I just love these ‘diaries’ ! My mares would be more like “well today I tricked the geldings into thinking they were stallions…it was fun to tease them all day”..or..” Today my owner thought we were working…really I just ran in circles, always in the direction she didn’t want me going”..

Stacy, we were lucky enough to see you in Lake St. Louis, MO last year. What a gift or talent, call it what u will, for training these horses. I think Jac will fall right into place for your next horse to ride no reins, no saddle. If he has enough of his mom’s genes and personality, he will be your perfect “fit”. No horse could take the place of Roxy, but Jac just might be a stand-in!
