Aged 27 years I knew a woman like her. She 92 years old but looked like being in the age of 72 or so. Wearing jeans and sneakers she friendly laughed at me: “Ohhh! Just 27, you know nothing, you are a BABY!”. This was so nice and funny. My father, horseman since his childhood aged 8, nowadays is still owner of a horse and riding it, now he’s 78 years old, riding a little slowly and his horse (athletic Hannoverian horse) knows that after 10 minutes at the latest they stand still to have a break. My father don’t need to stop him, he stops “voluntarily”, so to speak as a friendly offer to my father. 😉 (BTW now I’m 46 years old and feel younger than ever before).

It’s ironic that Mrs. Reeves died after being thrown by her horse. I don’t think this wonderful lady would have had it any other way.

I have a neighbor and dear friend named Bert Bonnett. He will be 102 years old in February, 2012. He still feeds and cleans stalls for 6 horses and a mule named Ears. He rides several times a week and is amazing to see sitting tall in the saddle. I remember riding with him the first time about 20 years ago and thinking “My gosh – I’m riding with an 80 year old!” Who would ever think I’d still be riding with him? He’s my hero!

I am now 69 years old and do everything myself, breed, raise, train and show my own. This video has given me a new goal.
